There’s always a healthy debate about which conference is the best from top to bottom. Here’s a look at my rankings based on the deepest conferences from top to bottom as it stands in early February 2012.

College Basketball: Five Overrated Teams ATS
Kyle Hunter Jan 31, 2012
College basketball betting is all about finding value. There are plenty of occasions where great teams aren’t necessarily great teams to bet on because of the lack of value. A great example of this was the Kentucky Wildcats earlier this year. Kentucky actually failed to cover the spread in a span of 14 straight games from late November to early January. The Wildcats only lost one of those games st ...  read more

The 6 ft 5 in 244 lb Heisman winning QB drafted 1st overall in the NFL’s 2011 draft to the Carolina Panthers came into the NFL under much scrutiny. When QB Matthew Stafford was drafted back in 2009 from Georgia with the number 1 overall pick, the Lions were resting their expectations on his arm. Why the NBA is better when the Knicks are back in the playoffs.
Tony Karpinski Apr 16, 2011
The struggling New York Knicks haven’t been in the playoffs for 6 years. The last time they won 50 games was back in 99-00. The Knicks have struggled for many, many seasons, winning an average of only 32 games a season during that 10 year span. Last time they were in the playoffs, they were being coached by the dueling triple coaching of Don Chaney, Lenny Wilkens and even Herb Williams and their ...  read more

2011 NFL Mock Draft
Doc's Sports Apr 13, 2011
by Robert Ferringo - 4/13/2011

The NFL is a copycat league. If a team has even a modicum of success, however fleeting or trivial, it seems like the rest of the league immediately enters an unsanctioned race to mimic Said Team’s path to success.

The Cover-2. The 3-4. The audible attack of Peyton Manning. The blitz-crazed schemes of Pittsburgh, Philadelphia or the New York Giants. Zone b ...  read more

Has the Celtics luck faded
Tony Karpinski Apr 12, 2011
When the 2011 season began, the men in green were off and running…again. Last year’s 7 game series loss to the Los Angeles Lakers kept them motivated and hungry.

They were ripping teams apart, beating Miami, Oklahoma City and Chicago along the way, easily. Putting up 101 a game, and holding their opponents to only 92 a night over the first 25 games of the season. Teams struggled getting go ...  read more

MLB Odds: Orioles and Other Early Surprises
Doc's Sports Apr 7, 2011
by Richard Gardner | Bodog Sportsbook Manager - 4/7/2011

The Baltimore Orioles have been a bad team for a long time. The last time they won 70 games was 2006. The last time they had a winning season was all the way back in 1997. Trapped in the AL East with the free-spending Yankees and Red Sox, making the playoffs has been a challenge to say the least.

So when the Orioles won the first ...  read more

Joe Gaffney Apr 7, 2011

Anyone who seriously follows professional football understands that championship teams are built around a strong offensive and defensive line. Yet, when it comes to the NFL Draft, much of the focus revolves around the top prospects in the offensive skill positions.

This year’s crop includes Blaine Gabbert and Cam Newton at quarterback, A.J. Green and Julio Jo ...  read more

Who is the best NBA team this season, with the worst starting five?
Mike Anthony Apr 5, 2011
The NBA season has been excellent thus far with some teams really stepping it up and taking a hold of the reins and some teams slipping by the wayside without much fight. We, of course, have the playoffs approaching quickly.

Today we are going to take a look at a few teams that are some of the best. And, we are going to a look at their teams, and discuss, of those teams, which has the wor ...  read more

How has VCU gotten as far as they have in the NCAA tournament?
Mike Anthony Apr 1, 2011
The Rams of Virginia Commonwealth have done much more than just destroy your NCAA tournament brackets from the office. The Rams were not even supposed to be in the NCAA tourney. (“Not even supposed to be here today”, thank you Dante). Why would a team from the Colonial Athletic Association like VCU even be there? The tournament is made for only the best teams, the best 64.

Or… the best 68 ...  read more

The elite left-handed starters have a big advantage just for the simple fact that most players see a lot more right-handed pitching. Also, batting practice is mostly thrown by righties. Look for teams that have not faced a Quality left-handed starter for some time ( five games or more) and you will have a nice winning investment.
